2024 Scholarship Recipients Announced

The Anderson Education Foundation (AEF) awarded a total of $6,000.00 in college scholarships at the Anderson High School Class of 2024 Honors Program on Monday, March 20, 2024. The scholarship recipients are:
  • Louis Jackson IV, Phil Buck Scholarship, $1,000.00
  • Victoria Welsh, Kabir Family Scholarship, $2,500.00
  • Hunter Cook, Kabir Family Scholarship, $2,500.00
The Coach Phil Buck Scholarship is a memorial scholarship that was created in 2018 in honor of former Madison Heights Varsity Basketball Coach Phil Buck. It is in the amount of $1,000.00 and is awarded to a motivated and deserving AHS Senior boys’ basketball player each year. This scholarship is awarded to a young man who has demonstrated scholastic achievement, sportsmanship, citizenship, leadership and who is enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university.
 
Dr. Saiful and Mrs. Cameron Kabir value education. They have raised three children who are a product of Anderson Community Schools. Their children have achieved academic success that has allowed them to embark on their chosen careers in the medial health proessions. As a way to give back, they created the Kabir Family scholarship in 2024. Annually they will award $2,500.00 scholarships to two members of the class of Anderson High School. The scholarship will be awarded to graduates who plan to pursue careers in healthcare.
 
The Anderson Education Foundation (AEF) was created in 1978 to serve as a bridge between the community and Anderson Community Schools (ACS). AEF's mission is to provide resources for educators to enrich and expand educational opportunities for students in Anderson Community Schools. The AEF is a proud member of the Indiana Association of Public Education Foundations (INAPEF).
