Scholarships
The Anderson Education Foundation (AEF) has two scholarship programs available to seniors at Anderson High School. These are awarded at the Anderson High School Senior awards dinner each May. Seniors interested in applying for these scholarships should contact [email protected].
Coach Phil Buck Scholarship
The Coach Phil Buck Scholarship was created in 2018 in honor of former Madison Heights Varsity Basketball Coach Phil Buck. A $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a motivated and deserving AHS Senior boys’ basketball player each year. This scholarship is awarded to a young man who has demonstrated scholastic achievement, sportsmanship, citizenship, leadership and who is enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university. These funds are to be used solely for tuition or other qualified educational expenses and fees during the first year of post-secondary education. Educators may also nominate by sending a short essay (less than 500 words) discussing the qualifications of a prospective recipient.

Kabir Family Scholarship
Dr. Saiful Kabir and Mrs. Cameron Kabir greatly value education. They have raised three children who are a product of Anderson Community Schools. Their children have achieved academic success that has allowed them to embark on their chosen careers in the medical health professions. Dr. and Mrs. Kabir are highly grateful to the dedicated faculty and staff of Anderson Community Schools who supported their children in achieving their career goals. To honor this commitment to these wonderful educators, the Kabir family awards a $2,500 scholarship to two members of the graduation class of Anderson High School each year that are planning to pursue a career in healthcare. The scholarship is a one-time stipend and is not renewable.
