Committed to Education License Plate
Buy a Committed to Education (Hoosier Family of Readers) license plate and proudly show your support for public education. In 1998, the state legislature created a specialty license plate related to education. A portion of the sale of each one of these plates goes to the designated public school district through the district’s education foundation.
Here’s how it works:
-Plates cost $40
-$15 goes toward administrative costs
-$18.75 goes to the designated K-12 education foundation (OR, if there is no education foundation, the dollars go to the designated local school corporation)
-$6.25 goes to the Indiana Department of Education to support elementary counseling programs
Ask for the Education License Plate when you renew at the BMV or by mail and remember to designate AEF. It will make a difference for kids and part of your $40 fee is tax deductible.
Zachary Novak Legacy of Music and Character
A partnership with Zachary Novak’s family allows those who donate $20.00 or more to the Novak Scholarship Fund to request a CD of Zachary’s music recordings. Checks should be made payable to: Zachary Novak Scholarship Fund. Then, mail your contribution and request to:

The fund provides a one-time cash award to a graduating Anderson Community Schools senior planning to study music in college. Past recipients are: Kirby Gilliam, Caitlin Stuart, and Kelsea Webb.
